特朗普现象是继奥巴马现象之后美国政治史上又一独特现象。这两种现象虽然表面上看起来截然不同,但仍具有某种共性,即种族因素在其中发挥了重要作用。如果说奥巴马现象标志着美国种族关系的进步,特朗普现象则标志着美国种族关系的倒退。特朗普具有种族主义色彩的公开言论和反少数族裔移民政策,为种族主义者公开表达自己的想法并将其付诸行动营造了舆论氛围,导致基于白人至上的种族偏见在整个美国社会乃至世界蔓延。

The Trump phenomenon is another unique case after the Obama phenomenon in the history of American politics.Although these two phenomena seem to be quite different from each other,they do share a commonality,that is,the racial factor plays an important role in their emergence.If the Obama phenomenon can be regarded as a symbol of progress in American racial relations,the Trump phenomenon can be said to represent a regression in this respect.Trump’s overt racist remarks,and his anti-minority and anti-immigrants policies have created a favorable environment for the racists to voice their opinions in public and to put their ideas into practice,hence resulting in the spread of racial prejudice based on white supremacy across America and even throughout the whole world.
