空间知识外溢如何影响区域经济增长——理论机制与经验证据

How does Spatial Knowledge Spillover Affect Regional Economic Growth: Theoretical Mechanism and Empirical Evidence

本文假设高技术区域对低技术区域的知识外溢作用大于低技术区域对高技术区域的知识外溢作用,并通过空间知识外溢方程将这一假设引入到区域经济增长模型中,考察空间知识外溢的区域经济增长效应。模型分析表明,空间知识外溢使得区域总产出存在空间自相关、邻居区域的劳动力投入对本区域总产出具有负效应、邻居区域的R&D投入对本区域总产出具有正效应。本文通过构建空间技术权重矩阵刻画空间知识外溢,并采用我国省级面板数据进行空间计量回归分析,实证结果很好地验证了理论模型的推论。这意味着,中西部劳动力回流和"双创"热潮现象有助于提高东部地区对中西部地区的知识外溢作用,从而带动中西部地区经济共同发展。

Assuming the knowledge spillover of high-tech regions on low-tech regions is greater than that of low-tech regions on high-tech regions,and introducing this hypothesis into the regional economic growth model with spatial knowledge spillover equation,we study the effect of spatial knowledge spillover on regional economic growth.Our model suggests that regional total output is spatially autocorrelative,neighboring region’s labor inputs have a negative effect on local total output,and neighboring region’s R&D inputs have a positive effect on local total output due to spatial knowledge spillover.Constructing spatial technology weight matrix to describe spatial knowledge spillover,and doing spatial econometric regressions using China’s provincial panel data,our empirical results verify the inferences of the theoretical model.This implies that the phenomena of labor reflow in central and western China and the upsurge of"Innovation and Entrepreneurship"are conducive to improving the knowledge spillover effect of the eastern region on the central and western regions,thus promoting the common economic development of the central and western regions of China.
