文化组学视角下的中国殡葬话语变迁

The Discursive Change of Chinese Funeral Discourse through the Lens of Culturomics

文章基于大规模殡葬话语语料库,通过文化组学的分析手段,对中国殡葬话语的意义沿革和主题演变进行定量分析,揭示了我国殡葬话语的历时语义变化及其背后的影响因素。从殡葬话语中“殡葬改革”和“殡葬政策”在1978-2022年的相对频次出发,揭示了殡葬话语关注度的历时变化。二者在整体数量上有明显差异,即新闻媒体对殡葬改革的关注度远高于殡葬政策。殡葬工作会议和政策文件是引发媒体关注的重要因素。通过殡葬话语中高频词和主题词的历时变化可见社会对殡葬事务认知与观念的转变经历了从改革传统殡葬形式、遗体安置到殡葬服务质量和绿色生态环保的逐渐演进。城市化进程的推进和土地资源的有限性使人们越来越关注环境保护和可持续发展。研究结果有助于理解中国殡葬话语的变迁,并为中国殡葬改革和死亡话语研究提供新的研究视角与参照。

Based on a large-scale corpus of funeral discourse,this study quantitatively analyses the historical development and thematic evolution of Chinese funeral discourse,as well as reveals the diachronic semantic changes of funeral discourse in China and the underlying factors shaping this discourse from the analytical approach of culturomics.By examining the relative frequencies of terms,such as“funeral reform”and“funeral policies”from 1978 to 2022,the study reveals the diachronic attention changes in the corpus.There is a significant difference in the overall number,that is,the news media’s attention to“funeral reform”is much higher than“funeral policy”.Funeral working conferences and policy papers are important factors in drawing media’s attention.From the diachronic changes of high-frequency and theme,it can be seen that the social cognition and concept of funeral have undergone a gradual evolution from reforming traditional funeral forms and body placement to the quality of funeral services and green ecological environmental protection.For the process of urbanization and the limited land resources,environmental protection and sustainable development are paid more attention.The study is helpful to understand the changes of funeral discourse in China,and provide a new research perspective and reference for the study of funeral reform and death discourse in China.
