“Local Change” and “Peasant” Identity Puzzle——Rereading Jiang Zilong’s Peasant Empire

蒋子龙把自己对乡土社会的观察、经验与想象,灌注其中,打造了一个虚拟、隐喻的郭家店。郭存先是郭家店的“卡里斯马”,具有与生俱来的非凡气质,他的命运也暗含着乡土文化伦理的悖论。郭存先是蒋子龙带给文坛的新的人物,他身上深藏着“乡土变迁”的密码,蕴含着作者对当代思想史问题的回应。“农民”身份的悖论,决定了郭存先的命运。

Jiang Zilong created a virtual and metaphorical Guo Jia Dian by infusing his own observation,experience and imagination of the local society. Guo Cunxian is the “Karisma” of Guo Jia Dian,with innate extraordinary temperament,his fate also implies the paradox of local culture ethics. Guo Cunxian is a new character brought to the literary world by Jiang Zilong,who hides the code of “local change”,which contains the author’s response to the problems of contemporary ideological history. Guo Cunxian’s fate was determined by the paradox of his identity as a peasant.
