《气球下的中国》为八国联军侵华期间法军拍摄的一本画册,其中的航拍照片是迄今可考天津乃至中国最早的航拍影像,再现了“庚子事变”时期天津的真实历史面貌。对天津首次航拍照片中的法租界、海河、老城厢等地进行实地考察并使用无人机重新拍摄,确定拍摄点位、找寻历史建筑。用航拍照片考证当时的战争情景、天津租界规划、老城厢城墙被迫拆除及海河裁弯取直等史实。另外,对拍摄地点和书名翻译进行勘误。

La ChinaàTerre et en ballon is an album of pictures taken by the French army during the invasion of China by the Eight-power Allied Forces.The aerial photos in the album are the earliest available aerial photos in Tianjin and even in China,which once again shows the real historical appearance of Tianjin during the Gengzi Incident.The author conducts on-the-spot inspections of the French Concession,Haihe River,the old city wall and other places in the first aerial photo of Tianjin and uses unmanned aerial vehicle to re-shoot them to determine the shooting location and find historical buildings.Aerial photos are used to verify the historical facts of the war scene at that time,the planning of the Tianjin Concession,the forced demolition of the old city wall and the straightening of the Haihe River.In addition,the shooting location and the translation of the album title are corrected.
