我国隋唐时期以来的陶瓷体系就有"南青北白"的说法,萧窑处于秦岭淮河分界线的地理位置,属于南北交汇地区。因此萧窑在制瓷工艺上都受到南北方不同程度的影响,特殊的地理环境和烧制原料使得萧窑瓷器兼具南北特征,从而形成南北制瓷业的过渡中心。

The ceramic system since the Sui and Tang Dynasties in China has the saying of"Nanqingbeibai".Xiao Kiln is located at the boundary of the Qinling Huaihe River boundary and belongs to the intersection of north and south.Therefore,Xiao Kiln is affected by the north and the south in different degrees of porcelain making.The special geographical environment and the burning of raw materials make the Xiao Kiln ceramics have the characteristics of the north and the south,thus forming a transition center of the north-south porcelain industry.
