Encouraging College Students to Translate Attractive Inspiration Mottoes

大学生不仅要学习专业知识和业务技能,还要有克服困难的勇气和奋发向上的信念。英语教师在教授语言文化知识的过程中,应当不断增强引导学生磨砺意志的工作责任感,结合日常教学,有意识地介绍中西文化中的励志语,并鼓励大学生自主探索一些励志语的翻译方法,包括直译、意译、加注、正反转译等。

Besides the professional knowledge and skills,college students need positive beliefs and courage to get rid of difficulties.In the process of language teaching,English teachers are expected to be more responsible for the improvement of college students’courage and inspiration.Based on classroom teaching,they are required to intentionally introduce a few Chinese and English inspiration mottoes and encourage students to practice translation techniques,i.e.literal translation,liberal translation,additional explanations,positive&negative transfer,etc.
