Research on the Academic Thought of Professor LU Xin-lai, a Famous Scholar in Farming System——Commemorating the 100th birthday of Professor LU Xin-lai

陆欣来(1921~2020),江苏姜堰人,中共党员,著名耕作学家。1951年毕业于复旦大学农艺系后留校,从事管理试验场和科学试验工作。1952年9月,随复旦农学院北迁任沈阳农学院(1985年10月更名为沈阳农业大学)助教。1953年调入新成立的耕作教研室,历任助教、讲师、副教授和教授。他曾为农学、土壤化学、农业经济和农业工程等专业本科生开设耕作学、作物栽培总论、耕作栽培原理、农学基础和农业概论课程,为研究生开设耕作制度专题、农田杂草形态与生态等课程。在耕作学去留问题上,他敢于与学术权威辩论,致力于耕作学学科发展,出版许多有影响的耕作学教材、学术论文和科普文章,培养出一批优秀的耕作学教师。他是沈阳农业大学耕作学科第一位硕士研究生导师,曾经指导过包括中国科学院于贵瑞院士在内的六名硕士研究生。他毕生坚持走与工农、生产实践结合的道路,先后在多个县市蹲点,出任多个区县政府特聘农业顾问。他一生爱好文学,笔耕不辍,《陆欣来诗集》收录诗作189首,74岁完成十多万字的自传。陆欣来教授只是一位平凡的农业大学教师,但他用一生写就了不平凡的业绩,既无愧于选择,也无愧于时代。

Professor Lu Xinlai(1921-2020)was born in Jiangyan,Jiangsu Province,member of the Communist Party of China,famous farming system scholar.After graduated from the Department of Agronomy of Fudan University in 1951,Professor Lu stayed at Fudan University as a faculty member and engaged in the management of experimental fields and scientific experiments.In September of 1952,he became a teaching assistant after the Fudan Agricultural College moved north to Shenyang Agricultural College.In 1953,he was transferred to newly established farming system teaching and research office.He served as a teaching assistant,lecturer,associate professor and professor.Professor Lu has taught the Farming System Science,General Theory of Crop Cultivation,Principles of Cultivation and Farming,Fundamentals of Agriculture and Introduction to Agriculture for undergraduate students majoring in agronomy,soil chemistry,agricultural economics and agricultural engineering.He has taught the courses of Special Topic on Farming System,Weed Morphology and Ecology et al.for graduate students.Regrading the issue of retaining or canceling the discipline of farming system,he dared to debate with academic authorities,sticking to the development of farming system discipline,published many influential farming system textbooks,academic papers and popular science articles,and cultivated a group of outstanding teachers for farming system discipline.He was the first postgraduate supervisor of farming system discipline in Shenyang Agricultural University,has supervised six postgraduate students,including Mr Yu Guirui,the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences.He insisted on taking the road of combining industrial and agricultural production practice in his life,and served as a special agricultural consultant of many county governments.He loved literature in his whole life and never stopped writing.The“poems collection of Lu Xinlai”collected 189 poems,his autobiography with more than one hundred thousand words was finished when he was 74 years old.Professor Lu Xinlai was just an ordinary teacher of Shenyang agricultural university,but he has obtained extraordinary achievements with whole life hard work,which is worthy of choice and worthy of times.
