Research on the Theoretical Base of College English Education in the Information Age

自从我国加入到WTO之后,经济贸易日益趋于全球化,英语已经成为一个人才衡量的重要标准,而英语表达及应用能力也逐渐成为大学生必备的一项技能。随着信息化时代的来临,人们每天都在接收新鲜的事物,因此,社会各个领域都积极投身于改革道路的探索中。而英语属于一门交际性的语言,大学作为培养高素质人才的基地,它为大学生提供的学习英语机会可以显著提升大学生的听说读写能力。作为高校教师,必须认识到英语教育的目的在于培养和增强学生运用英语的能力。文章针对信息时代下高校英语教育现状的分析,对教学活动所运用到的理论基础进行详细阐述。

After entering WTO,economy and trade have become increasingly globalized.English has become an important standard for talent measurement,and English expression and application skills have gradually become the essential skill for college students.With the advent of the information age,people receive new things every day,so almost all social fields are actively engaged in the exploration of the road of reform.English is a kind of communicative language.As a base for cultivating high-quality talents,universities are responsible for improving the English abilities of undergraduates.College teachers had to realize the mentioned purpose of universities.This article firstly analyzed the current situation of College English education in the information age,and elaborated the theoretical base of English education.
