Drilled-but-uncompleted well(DUC)is a kind of new and effective operation mode for the US oil and gas industry to cope with the large fluctuations in international oil prices,which has become a new barometer to judge the prosperity of the US oil and gas industry.DUC plays an important role in regulating oil and gas production,regulating capital efficiency and influencing oil and gas production.Moreover,with the change of oil price,DUC has gradually evolved into a means to improve capital efficiency.It is suggested that when predicting oil and gas production of US,attention should be paid to the number of DUC,and the mode of factory and assembly line operation should be introduced innovatively into the oil and gas industry in China to form the concept and management method of DUC for the reform and innovation of the upstream operation mode in China oil and gas industry.
