摘要
Angkor Wat is an ancient temple located just a few kilometers north of the town of Siem Reap in Cambodia.It was built in the early 12th century as a Hindu place of worship,but evolved into a revered Buddhist temple as the religion and inhabitants changed.In fact,it is part of a much larger complex of temples,which comprise the Angkor World Heritage Site under the auspices of UNESCO.Some of the structures and the grounds surrounding them are larger.
