An Investigation on Grottoes and Cliff Statues in Linqu, Shandong Province

临朐县位于山东省中部,是古青州文化圈的重要组成部分。境内小型石窟、摩崖造像分布很广,多属隋唐代以后的民间造像,为研究隋唐以后古青州地区的民间信仰提供了重要资料。

Linqu County is located in the central part of Shandong Province,and it is an important part of the ancient Qingzhou cultural circle.Small grottoes and cliff statues in the county are widespread,most of which are folk statues produced after the Sui and Tang Dynasties,which provide important data for the study of the folk religions in the ancient Qingzhou area after during that period.
