摘要
灵知主义一般被认为是沃格林进行现代性批判时的关键术语。然而在沃格林的晚期著作中,灵知主义这一主题似乎销声匿迹。另一方面,在其晚期著作中,对《新约》正典的分析开始取代过往的灵知主义批判。在《天下时代》第五章“保罗的复活者异象”中,沃格林对保罗书信进行了深入分析,揭示了暗藏在保罗式的灵性神显(pneumatic theophany)背后对历史进行变形的倾向。为了阐明该分析的含义与效力,本文将取道伊利亚德的遂古存有论思想,以伊利亚德的圣/俗区分,帮助揭开沃格林在分析保罗的这一章节背后的关切。
Gnosticism is generally considered as a key word in Voegelin's critic of modernity.However,it seems that gnosticism as a subject has been disappeared in Voegelin's later works.On the other hand,an analysis of texts in the New Testament has though taken large proportions there.In the fifth chapter“the Pauline Vision of the Resurrected”in The Ecumenic Age,Voegelin comes deeply into the Pauline epistles and reveals a deformative power towards history comprised in the Pauline pneumatic theophany.In order to elucidate the implication and efficacy of this analysis,this article would turn to Mircea Eliade's archaic ontology,precisely his distinction between the profane and the sacred,to help understand Voegelin's intention in his analysis of Pauline epistles.
