彝伦攸斁与彝伦攸叙——评唐文明教授《彝伦攸斁——中西古今张力中的儒家思想》

A Review of Prof.Tang Wenmin’s Monograph,Corruption of Ethical Order:Confucian Thoughts under the Tension Between Ancient and Modern,China and West(Yilun Youdu彝伦攸斁)

唐文明教授《彝伦攸斁——中西古今张力中的儒家思想》一书有十二章,主要从人伦教化和国家建构等层面对于近现代儒学史进行了刻画。在本书中,唐文明教授揭示了儒家在近现代历史上的境遇以及社会思想因儒家人伦教化逐渐失去效力而产生的变化,即“彝伦攸斁”的社会状况。但唐文明教授并没有止步于对于思想史的刻画,又同时从儒家视域出发,主张人伦的规范性重构,突出教化在国家建构上的重要性,探索了人伦教化对现代社会的意义。其力图实现的是社会状况从“彝伦攸斁”重新转向“彝伦攸叙”。正因为此种研究意图和努力,唐文明教授在本书中重新刻画了康有为,探索了儒家叙事对于近现代思想史描述的可能性,进而显示了其对于当下社会思想的关切。可以预见,唐文明教授思考将成为儒家与中西古今问题的相关研究的重要参考。

Professor Tang Wenming’s monograph,namely,Corruption of Ethical Order:Confucian Thoughts under the Tension between Ancient and Modern,China and West(Yilun Youdu彝伦攸斁),has twelve chapters.It mainly,from the perspective of the ethical relationship and state construction,describes the situation of Confucianism in the modern history of thoughts and the corruption of social,ethical order with being unaffected by Confucianism.Besides,Tang contends the reconstruction of ethical normality,emphasizes the significance of"civilizedtransformation"(jiaohiwa教化)in the state construction.His theoretical purpose is reviving the Confucian ethical and social order.Therefore,he renews the significance of Kang Youwei(康有为)’s thoughts and explores the possibility of the Confucian narrative of modern history in this book.It is foreseeable that Tang’s thinking in this book will exert a great influence on this topic.
