Wang Yusan’s experience in treating laryngeal diseases

探讨王雨三教授辨治喉症经验。认为其将喉症病因归为风寒、肾虚两类,治以温散与温补法,方以桂枝汤或附桂八味丸加减;尤重脉诊,常凭脉而定喉症用方;提倡分经以治实火症,并论述“白喉忌表”之说。

The purpose of this paper is to explore Professor Wang Yusan’s experience in the treatment of laryngeal diseases.It is considered that the etiology of the diseases is classified into two categories of wind-cold and kidney deficiency,treated with modified Guizhi Decoction or Fugui Bawei Pills,by the method of warming and dissipating or warming and tonifying.Professor Wang determines the prescription for laryngeal diseases often relying on pulse diagnosis,and advocates treating the symptoms of excess-fire by meridian differentiation,and has discussed the theory of“diphtheria taboo table”.
