A New Study on the Fengzeng System of Yuan Dynasty:Centered on Liu Bingzhong's Fengzeng and His Family Official Career

封赠制诰因其广泛流世的官文书性质,在记史精确性上具有无可比拟的参考价值。《元史》所载刘秉忠封赠情况有误,通过对刘秉忠封赠文书的文本分析,刘秉忠封赠得以厘正复原。刘秉忠屡次得封,除不同皇帝在位期间的政治需求为其提供重要契机外,家族后裔的仕宦支撑也发挥着关键作用。刘秉忠的封赠推进与元代官员封赠内容项的演变相呼应,对刘秉忠封赠情况的讨论,即是对元代官员封赠制度发展的微观考察。

Because of its widespread formality,the Fengzeng(封赠,promoting to a higher rank and/or giving title of nobility)document has incomparable reference value in the accu racy of recording history.Through the text analysis of his Fengzeng documents,Liu Bingzhong's Fengzeng records can be restored and errors can be corected.Liu Bingzhong's Fengzeng was granted several times because of the political needs of different emperors and the official support of family descendants.The promotion of Liu Bingzhong's rank and title was echoed by the evolution of the Fengzeng system in the Yuan Dynasty.The discussion of Liu Bingzhong's Fengreng was a microcosmic investigation of the development of the Fengzeng system in the Yuan Dynasty.
