The unique charm of Qian Zhongshu’s thought on the study of poetics is created by his characteristic textual studies.Qian’s textual studies have mainly four characteristics.First,guided by the personalized view on literature and art,Qian Zhongshu goes beyond the study scope limited by the classics and discovers the poetic ideas with deep implications from the uncommon texts which have been neglected.Second,maintaining the research attitude of“writing on the edge of life”,Qian Zhongshu deconstructs the sacredness and autonomy of the theoretical system,and turns a large amount of textual materials collected from diverse cultural contexts into an open and dynamic meaning field.Third,taking“aesthetic of writings”as the focus of his research,Qian Zhongshu attaches importance to the unique characteristics of literary language and starting with this,presents a personalized view on the tendency of literary colloquialization.Fourth,taking cultural introspection as the purport of study,Qian Zhongshu carries on profound dialogues with the times,society and history by analyzing textual details,and leads the literary study into the deep structure of human culture.
