在这篇论文中笔者介绍了一个发掘出土于片治肯特的木板,其上装饰有一件佛像,极为罕见。佛教在粟特并不流行,其主要信众是生活在现代中国边境的粟特移民。因此,这件木制佛像是一个非常有趣的证据,需要具体研究,它有助于更好地理解粟特人的宗教信仰,以及他们在亚洲佛教文化传播中的角色。

According to the research conducted by T.G.Filimonova on Buddhism on the territory of Tajikistan before Islam,the following conclusion was made“Buddhism in Sughd was not as prominent as in Tokharistan,and later its role continued to decline,and by 630 it was already losing its importance forever.The evidence that some small part of the population was still worshippers of Buddhism is very few works of art found in different parts of Ancient Penjikent...”^(①)
