研究型翻译的可能性——《芥川龙之介文集》的选篇与考证

The Possibility of Research-based Translation A Case Study on the Text Selection and Textual Rearch in Akutagawa Ryūnosuke Collection

本论文意在探讨翻译实践中一个被忽略的问题:研究者从事翻译,应该如何发挥译者的主体性,在忠实翻译的同时,通过选篇和考证帮助读者深入理解文本,并获得新的阅读体验。具体而言,对篇目进行适当的选择、编排能够体现研究者对于作品的理解和新的诠释,能够展现阅读的可能性;在吸取已有研究的成果基础上,对翻译文本中尚未明确、存在误读的名词进行必要的考证,有助于读者更准确地理解文本。因此,笔者在翻译三卷本《芥川龙之介文集》过程中,围绕选篇、翻译、考证三个方面开展翻译实践,探讨研究型翻译的可能性。

The present paper intends to address an issue often neglected in translation practice:how should researchers exercise their initiative when engaged in translation practice?Apart from translating faithfully,researchers can help readers understand the text in depth and gain new reading experience through text selection and textual research.Specifically,appropriate selection and layout of texts can reflect the researcher's understanding and updated interpretation of the work as well as enrich the experience in reading.Furthermore,on the basis of existing research findings,researchers could probe into the uncertain,often-misinterpreted nouns in texts in translation,which could help readers better understand the texts.Accordingly,in translating the three-volume Akutagawa Ryūnosuke Collection,the author conducts a translation study from three aspects:selection,translation and textual research,and explores the possibility of research-based translation.
