This paper mainly focuses on literary works about how the MeToo Movement, which originated in the United States, spread across the oceans to East Asian countries. Compared with other developed countries,Japan’s GGI( Gender Gap Index) is relatively low,and the actual situation of gender discrimination is not good. This paper starts with a few case studies and then discusses sexual violence in a Japanese novel,Kaoruko Himeno’s Because she is bad-headed. At the same time, the current situation of gender discrimination in East Asian literature would also be elaborated, which combines Metoo-related literature from South Korea,China Taiwan and China Mainland.
