莆仙戏《西游记》对小说的改编及其宗教功能

The Adaptation of Journey to the West in Puxian Opera and Its Religious Function

莆仙西游戏现存完整的连台本戏《西游记》,在情节设置上基本沿袭了百回本小说的叙事结构和传奇风格,甚至直接采用百回本小说的言语对话,同时又受到舞台实践、叙事方式和当地观众审美的约束,以及出于宗教活动的需要,对百回本小说的形式和内容进行新的调整,从而产生新的审美特质和功能意义。文章基于地域文化背景,从文体本位出发对仙游本进行描述与分析,力图厘清其与百回本小说之间的关系,以期为地方西游戏研究提供一些新的材料。

There are complete script Journey to the West in Puxian Opera of which follows the narrative structure and legendary style of the 100-chapter novel,and even directly adopts the verbal dialogue of the novel.However,on the other hand,the opera script makes a new adjustment to the form and content of the novel because of the restriction of stage practice,narrative mode,aesthetic requirements of local audience and the needs of religious activities in the process of creation,so as to produces new meaning and aesthetic characteristics.Therefore,based on the regional cultural background,this paper describes and analyzes the Puxian Opera Journey to the West from the stylistic standard,with an attempt to clarify the relationship between it and the novel,so as to provide some new materials for the study of Opera of Journey to the West.
