Lots of scholars have been interested in the study of metaphor.Nowadays, more and more scholars attempt to study multimodal metaphor and apply it to analyze some texts in different styles.Multimodal metaphor and mytonymy may be applied to analyze news report. The study illustrates that some types of mytonymies present much more often in news reports, including The Member For The Category,The Individual Action For The General Attitude and The Place For The Event.Multimodal metaphor in the headlines highlights the theme of news reports. The Structural Metaphor of Epidemic Prevention Is War and Container Metaphor exist frequently in the report of the whole event. The interaction between metaphor and mytonymy mainly embodies the meaning extention of mytonymy in the source of metaphor and in the target of metaphor.
