In the literature,there are two fundamental stances on the nature of Kant's“I think”.The dominant descriptivist approach maintains that“I think”represents that the subject is in the mental state of thinking.In contrast,non-descriptivists argue that the mental state that“I think”conveys is not descriptive and lacks representational content.This article provides a succinct commentary on the most recent non-descriptivist interpretation of“I think”,namely the expressivist approach.The article aims to reveal the significant textual and conceptual issues that arise with the expressivist approach.
