How do Artificial Intelligence Technologies Affect the Quality of Innovation and Entrepreneurship?——Empirical Evidence from the City Level

文章在城市面板数据的基础上,实证检验人工智能技术对创新创业质量的影响及作用路径,考察创新创业维度、城市规模、区位下的异质性作用,深究信息基础设施如何改变人工智能技术的作用效果。研究结果显示:人工智能技术能够带来创新创业质量的改善,其中人工智能技术含量每增加1%,创新创业质量平均提升0.0019%;机制识别发现,人工智能技术主要通过产业结构高级化、产业结构合理化与经济集聚影响创新创业质量;人工智能技术的正向促进作用依赖于创新创业维度、城市规模与区位,且信息基础设施显著提升人工智能对创新创业质量的作用效果。

Based on city panel data,the article empirically examines the impact and effect path of artificial intelligence technology on innovation and entrepreneurship quality and the path of action,investigates the role of heterogeneity under innovation and entrepreneurship dimensions,city size and location,and delves into how information infrastructure changes the effect of artificial intelligence technology.The findings show that AI technology can bring about improvements in the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship,with each 1%increase in AI technology content increasing the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship quality by 0.0019%on average.Mechanism identification reveals that AI technology affects the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship mainly through advanced industrial structure,rationalisation of industrial structure and economic agglomeration.The positive contribution of AI technology depends on the innovation and entrepreneurship dimension,city size and location,and information infrastructure significantly enhances the effect of AI on the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship.
