算法技术环境下新闻网站从业者的专业角色重塑

Professional Role Reconstruction of News Website Practitioners in the Environment of Algorithm Technology

通过对30名新闻网站从业者的访谈考察在算法技术环境下新闻网站从业者如何重塑自身的专业角色。通过实证分析发现,一方面,新闻网站从业者诉诸“新闻专业性”话语来维护自身的职业权威;另一方面,他们在实际工作中接纳算法技术并将之定义为“创新性技术”,以维护自身的职业生存。在算法技术不断浸入网络新闻业领域的过程中,新闻网站从业者灵活调用“新闻专业性”话语与“创新性技术”话语进行专业角色调适,在坚守传统专业角色的同时适应算法技术的发展,展现出媒体融合时代新闻从业者追求融合“传统”和“创新”的专业角色认知。

Based on the interviews with 30 news website practitioners,this study focused on how news website practitioners reconstruct their professional role in the context of algorithmic technology.The paper shows that the news website practitioners resort to the discourse of“Journalistic Professionalism”to maintain their professional authority.On the other hand,they accept algorithmic technology which is defined as“Innovative Technology”in their work to maintain their professional survival.As algorithmic technologies continue to infiltrate the field of online journalism,news website practitioners flexibly invoke the discourses of“Journalistic Professionalism”and“Innovative Technologies”to adapt their professional roles,adhering to their traditional professional roles while adapting to algorithms.It shows the professional role of journalism practitioners pursue a blend of“tradition”and“innovation”in the era of media convergence.
