Journalism Innovations Based on Activism Stance

本研究回溯了以“行动”(action)为中心的社会理论脉络及其对新闻学研究的影响,提出新兴的新闻创新研究领域应明确以“新行动”为导向,对新闻领域的创造性行动给予优先于结构和制度的考量,否则就难以解释新闻领域的变化。从这一行动主义立场出发,本研究进一步将新闻创新分为三种不同的行动类型:调适性创新、关系性创新和生产性创新,并分别阐述了它们的行动面向和行动目标。

This study traces the lineage of action-centered social theories and its implications for journalism research,suggesting that the emerging field of journalism innovation research should be explicitly oriented toward“new actions”and give priority to creative actions in the journalistic field over structures and institutions.Otherwise,it will be difficult to explain changes in the field of journalism.From this activism position,this study further divides journalism innovations into three different types of actions:adaptive innovation,relational innovation,and productive innovation,and elaborates their action orientations and action goals respectively.
