赋权增能教育理念下“个性化英语学习”课程教学改革研究

Teaching Reform of Individualized English Learning Based on Empowerment Approach

赋权增能教育理念旨在通过“做学用合一”实践教学增进英语学习者语言运用能力并提升其思辨能力和实践创新能力。从学业发展视角出发,采用混合方法设计调查了“个性化英语学习”课程的赋权增能设计及实践效果。研究发现,学生在语言知识、语言技能、内容知识、学习能力和综合素养5个维度均有积极的学业发展表现,且各维度密切关联。研究结果对了解赋权增能教育理念下“个性化英语学习”课程模式的优势与缺陷、有针对性地解决教学实践中的不足及同类课程改革具有启发意义。

The empowerment approach aims to promote English learners’language use ability and cultivate their critical thinking and innovative ability by means of“doing-learning-using integrated”practicum teaching.This article reports an empirical study on teaching reform of Individualized English Learning with the use of a mixed method design to explore English learners’multidimensional development from the perspective of personal development.The study reveals that English learners made good development in language knowledge,language skill,content knowledge,learning ability and overall literacy,and these five factors were closely related to each other.The findings may shed light on understanding the achievements and problems of Individualized English Learning based on the empowerment approach,overcoming the weakness of practicum teaching,and providing insights for similar course reform.
