叶朗美学研究的历程及其建构的意象美学体系

On Ye Lang’s Aesthetic Thoughts

叶朗先生是推动中国美学现代转型的重要美学家。叶朗的治学之路分为以下阶段:20世纪60年代,整理中西方美学史资料;20世纪70至90年代末,从中国小说美学个案研究转向中国美学史爬梳再开启现代美学体系的初步建构;21世纪至今,完成"美在意象"的现代美学体系建构。以《美学原理》一书的出版为标志,叶朗建构了以意象为本体、以感兴为意象的生成方式、以人生境界为审美活动的意义和价值旨归的美学体系。叶朗的意象美学重视古典美学资源、借鉴西方美学方法论,推动了中国美学从传统向现代的转型;同时,也存在着未完成美学本体论的完整阐释、学术逻辑性欠弱、部分内容陷入客体美学理论窠臼、范畴界定不严格等局限。

Mr.Ye Lang is an important aesthetician who promotes the transformation of Chinese aesthetics toward modernity.The researches that Ye Lang has done can be divided into the following stages:in the 1960 s,he has organized the materials of the Chinese and Western aesthetics history.From the 1970 s to the end of 1990 s,he has completed a series of works,from the case study of Chinese novel aesthetics to the sort out of the history of Chinese aesthetics and then to the preliminary construction of the modern aesthetic system.Since the 21 st century,he has completed the construction of the modern aesthetic system of"aesthetic in imagery".The publication of his book Aesthetic Principles marks the construction of an aesthetic system with imagery as the noumenon,sensations as the generation mode of images,and the spheres of living as the meaning and value of aesthetic activities.Ye Lang’s imagery aesthetics attaches great importance to the classical aesthetic resources and learns from the western aesthetic methodology.It promotes the transformation from traditional aesthetics to modern aesthetics.At the same time,there are still some limitations,such as the incomplete interpretation of aesthetic ontology and the lack of academic logic.Also,some of his thoughts has fallen into the beaten track of object aesthetic theory and some lack strict definition of the category.
