清代文言小说中有很多涉及观音感应的书写,与正统佛教的感应故事相比,这类作品的信仰性和义理性弱化,文学性和民间性较强,道德是人物获得菩萨救度的决定因素,观音成为爱情婚姻的守护神,民间信俗中也广泛融汇或附会了观音信仰的元素。这类作品造成了一种艺术化的信仰与信仰化的文学,表现了观音文化强大的渗透力与感染力,也有意或无意地改写和传播了观音信仰与文化。

Compared with the induction stories of orthodox Buddhism,these works are weaker in faith and sense,stronger in literature and folk.Morality is the decisive factor for the characters to obtain the salvation of Bodhisattva.Guanyin becomes the patron saint of love and marriage,and elements of Guanyin belief are also widely integrated or attached to the folk faith and custom.Such works have created a kind of artistic belief and faith-based literature,showed the powerful penetration and appeal of Guanyin culture,and intentionally or unintentionally rewrote and spread the belief and culture of Guanyin.
