Buddhist Poetry in the Eastern Jin Dynasty under the Confluence of Metaphysics and Buddhism

东晋诗歌在渡江之后逐渐显现出有别于西晋诗歌的内容特点,高僧与名士之间的清谈共辩使得玄言诗中散发出浓烈的佛理意味。本文旨在探讨东晋诗坛佛理诗的形成及其所呈现的风貌,试图从“玄、佛交涉”的文化现象中来推究佛理诗兴起的特殊原因,并将东晋佛理诗置回于诗歌发展史中,来说明“玄、佛合流”的时代风尚与“援佛入诗”的文学现象之间的因果关系,并以之阐明其在中国诗歌史上的文学意义与定位,及其对后世诗歌的影响。

After crossing the Yangtze River,the poetry of the Eastern Jin Dynasty gradually showed the content characteristics different from the poetry of the Western Jin Dynasty.The colloquial debate between eminent monks and celebrities made the metaphysical poetry exude a strong Buddhist meaning.This paper aims to explore the formation and style of Buddhist poetry in the poetic world of the Eastern Jin Dynasty,try to deduce the special reasons for the rise of Buddhist poetry from the cultural phenomenon of“negotiation between metaphysics and Buddhism”,and put the Buddhist poetry of the Eastern Jin Dynasty back in the history of poetry development,so as to explain the causal relationship between the trend of the times of“confluence of metaphysics and Buddhism”and the literary phenomenon of“helping Buddhism into poetry”,It also expounds its literary significance and positioning in the history of Chinese poetry and its influence on later poetry.
