"Jia Hui"refers to ashes of the nascent reed after burning and cooling,which is not only used to predict solar terms in ancient China,but also a classical allusion with high frequency in the literatures.This paper will briefly look into"Jia Hui"in Chinese classic literatures from the following four perspectives:the discrimination of the word meaning,the function of"Jia Hui",the reasons for using reed,and the appreciation of examples from typical poems and proses.
