Don DeLillo’s novel The Body Artist is a typical text of unnatural narrative,whose trauma theme needs to be examined from the perspective of narratology.With this in mind,the article aims to analyze the four unnatural narrative features employed by the author in the novel:the unnatural characters,the unnatural events and settings,the unnatural time,and the unnatural narrative voices.The analysis shows that it is the four unnatural narrative features that deepen the unspeakable trauma and traumatic memory.
