摘要
Rainer Schulte(1937-),the professor of Comparative Literature,director of Center for Translation Studies,University of Texas-Dallas since 1980 as well as the founder and editor-in-chief of Translation Review(SSCI).He has made great contributions on various fields,such as the literary translation practice,poem and essay writing,academic journal management,etc.In 1978,he co-founded the American Literary Translators Association(ALTA),whose national office is also located at UT Dallas.
