Samuel Beckett’s theatrical practice contributes to the modern transformation of Irish theater in the 20 th century,that is,the dual transformation of the aesthetic paradigm and the development path.Therefore,from the perspective of globalization,it is necessary to place Beckett back in the historical and cultural context of 20 th-century Ireland to examine the causes of this transformation and its specific manifestations and effects,clarify the key role played by Beckett in the transformation,and explore the important poetic value contained in this literary case.This will further the integration of Beckett and Irish theatre studies,and help reveal the unique qualities of literary nationalization and globalization.
