文学翻译的节奏——以《尤利西斯》汉译为例

On the Rhythm in Literary Translation:Taking the Chinese Translations of Ulysses as an Example

译文的节奏是影响阅读效果的因素之一,也是翻译中应当关注的因素之一。从字词的选择、句子的长短和标点符号的运用,本文分析了《尤利西斯》两个经典汉语译本的一些译例,发现两个译本对于译文语言的节奏都有良好的关照。译者不但达到了文学翻译忠实通顺的基本要求,同时也顾及了译文的可读性,或可朗读性,为文学翻译树立了良好的典范。

The rhythm of translation is one of the factors affecting the quality of translation,especially the reading effect,so it is one of the factors that should be paid attention to in translation.From the choice of words,the length of sentences and the use of punctuation marks,this paper analyzes some translation examples of two classic Chinese translations of Ulysses and finds that both translations have paid attention to the rhythm of the target language.The translators not only met the basic standards of literary translation such as faithfulness and smoothness but also the standard of readability,setting a good example for literary translation.
