论中国思想文化术语翻译的历史文化语用学视角

A Study of the Translation into English the Chinese Ideological and Cultural Terms from the Perspective of the Historical and Cultural Pragmatics

中国传统思想文化术语翻译近几年受到翻译界的重视,相应的工具书开始出现,但由于对历史和文化意义的认知缺乏正确的方法或历史文化知识的积淀,英语译文存在不少问题,直接影响中国传统文化的真正传播。由此出发,本文在分析中国思想文化术语意义特征的基础上,认为它们的翻译应该从历史文化语用学的视角出发,辨析流派与义理,译出差异义;"回到历史上",译出语境义;考察语义场,译出关联义;明了语用关系,译出等效义等方面探讨中国思想文化术语的翻译,意欲使中国思想文化术语的翻译避免谬误,准确传播,为中国文化走向世界,提高中国文化软实力贡献力量。

Translation of terms of traditional Chinese thought and culture has been regarded very important these years,and correspondently,some dictionaries been compiled and published.It is most probably,however,because some translators do not own right cognitive methods to make clear the historical and cultural meanings of the terms or enough accumulation of the concerning knowledge,they have made quite a few mistakes in their translations,which has hindered the spread of traditional Chinese culture.Therefore,this paper,on the basis of the analysis of the characteristics of the meanings of the terms in the evolution and development,puts forward from the perspective of historical and cultural pragmatics the following ideas that 1.the academic schools and ideologies they belong to should be distinguished in order to translate differently;2."going back to the historical context" so as to tender them according to specific contexts;3.Careful investigation into the semantic field they make up so as to show the meanings that relate to each other;4.making sure the pragmatic relationships in order to show their equivalent functions.Only by this way could translating mistakes be avoided and the Chinese culture go to the world in a better way to help our soft power heightened.
