莎士比亚戏剧《麦克白》两个漫画版对比分析

A Contrastive Analysis of Two Cartoon Versions of Macbeth

20世纪后半期以来,以漫画形式出版的莎士比亚戏剧如雨后春笋般激增,以漫画小说跨媒介指涉产生的双重互文,消解了真实与虚构之间的界限,实现了对经典符号化的莎士比亚的"变形改写"。本文通过比较美国约翰威立和欧洲自立英雄出版的两部漫画版《麦克白》,发现英雄版通过借鉴日本漫画重构了年轻读者的文化身份,而威立版则试图通过表现主义视角再现莎剧这一行为消除漫画属于低俗文化的偏见,满足读者的多层次需求。毫无疑问,威立版和英雄版《麦克白》开辟了革新莎士比亚戏剧的新天地,显示了莎士比亚戏剧适应不同文化、社会、政治进行再创作的可能性。

Since the second half of the 20th century,the Shakespearean dramas published in the form of cartoons have increased sharply.The double intertextuality produced by the cross-media reference of cartoon novels cancels the boundary between the reality and fiction and realizes the transformed rewriting of classical Shakespearean dramas.Based on the comparison between two versions of cartoon Macbeth published by Wiley and SelfMadeHero,this paper finds that the version made by SelfMadeHero re-structures the cultural identity of young readers by completely using Japanese cartoons.However,the version made by Wiley attempts to remove people’s prejudice towards traditional cartoons by means of expressionism and to satisfy needs of multi-level readers.Macbeth published by Wiley and SelfMadeHero opens up a new area for Shakespearean dramas and shows that Shakespearean dramas can be adapted to different culture,society and politics.
