印刷技术对科学知识视觉传播的发展与作用研究——以铜版印刷为例

印刷术的产生和发展带动知识传播和书籍更新,使用铜版印刷的艺术媒介铜版画应运而生并走向世界。彼时科学书籍插图常以铜版印制,画面遵循古典视觉范式并兼具艺术美。本文分析铜版画发展及传播,探讨艺术家参与科学知识视觉创作的方式,解读随西方思想和工具的理性变迁,铜版画发展的时代背景及其对东西方文化互传的意义,总结科学知识视觉传播历程中铜版画的发展与作用,以及铜版印刷在当下视觉设计和科学知识传播中的作用。

The creation and development of the printing press led to the dissemination of knowledge and the updating of books,and the artistic medium of copperplate printing was born and spread around the world.At that time,the illustrations of scientific books were often printed with copper plates,and the images followed the classical visual paradigm with artistic beauty.This paper tries to analyze the development of copperplate painting and its dissemination,discuss the way of artists'participation in the visual creation of scientific knowledge,interpret the rational change of Western ideas and tools,the background of the development of copperplate painting and its significance to the mutual transmission of Eastern and Western cultures,and summarize the development and role of copperplate painting in the course of the visual dissemination of scientific knowledge,as well as the role of copperplate printing in the visual design and dissemination of scientific knowledge at the present time.
