郭錫良先生的上古音新探索

New Exploration in Old Chinese Phonology of Guo Xiliang

今年適逢郭錫良先生九十華誕。本文簡要回顧上古音研究歷史,結合當下的時代背景和學術背景,從3個方面總結郭先生上古音研究的主要成就:1. 引領本世紀初國際範圍内的漢語音韻學方法論大討論;2. 郭先生上古音研究諸論文中取得的進展;3. 《漢字古音手册》的獨創性和重要價值。郭先生《漢字古音表稿》在學術史上的卓越貢獻,《理想的聲韻調配合表和漢語語音史研究》一文已作評介,本文基本没有涉及。

2020 is the 90th birthday of Guo Xiliang.This article briefly reviews the history of old Chinese phonology research,and combines the contemporary background and academic background to summarize the main achievements of Guo Xiliang’s old Chinese phonology research from three aspects:first,leading a large-scale discussion on the methodology of Chinese phonology at the beginning of the century;second,Guo Xiliang’s progress in the research on old chinese phonology;third,the originality and importance of Hanzi Guyin Shouce(漢字古音手册).The outstanding contribution of Hanzi Guyin Biaogao(漢字古音表稿) in academic history had been reviewed in The Collocation Diagram of Initial-finalones and the Study of Chinese Historical Phonology(理想的聲韻調配合表和漢語語音史研究) and is not covered here.
