夫妻合葬墓是研究古代夫妻关系、社会风俗的重要考古资料。荥阳楚楼墓地集中发现的大量夫妻合葬墓,其规划有序、结构样式丰富,从一个侧面反映了汉代社会"事死如生"的精神观念和妇女家庭地位的转变,是研究中原地区汉代精神、文化、风俗的宝贵资料。

Spousal joint burial tombs are important archaeological materials for studying the spousal relationship and social customs of ancient China.A large number of joint burial tombs found in the Chulou Cemetery of Xingyang are well-planned and rich in structure,and they reflect the spiritual concept of"death as life"and the transformation of women’s family status in the society of Han Dynasty,therefore,they are valuable materials to study the spirit,culture and custom of the Han Dynasty in the Central Plains.
