The OBX-750 is an ocean bottom node made by Geospace that typically outputs seismic data in SEG-D format.SEGD format data has the characteristics of variable header segment and track header,and uses a variety of encoding methods to record information.This paper introduces the structure of SEG-D file output by OBX-750 instrument,the storage location of common information in the header file,describes in detail the encoding methods of SEG-D seismic data header information,and uses Python language to decompress different encoding methods,which is easy to read all kinds of information recorded by SEG-D seismic data accurately.It is helpful for researchers and field quality control personnel to conduct rapid data analysis and quality control.
