湘粤古道作为文化线路的辨析

A Differentiation and Analysis of Xiang Yue Ancient Road as Cultural Route

基于文化线路内涵的分析,按照实体交通线路、具体的特定用途、特定的历史现象三个要素对湘粤古道的遗产性质进行判定。首先,它是一条实体交通线路,由数条水陆混合的网络状交通线路构成。其次,其具体的特定用途表现为对岭南实施有效管辖的政治功能,以及作为中原与岭南商贸往来、作为海上丝绸之路延伸的商贸功能。其三,其自秦朝以来延续长达两千多年,跨越湖南衡阳至广东英德之间的广阔区域,人群迁徙、经济交往和文化传播等现象突出。因此,湘粤古道是一条文化线路。

Based on the analysis of the connotation of cultural routes,the character of Xiang-Yue Ancient Road can be defined accor rding to the three elements of physical transportation route,specific use and specific historical phenomena.Firstly,it is a physical transportation route,consisting of several land and water mixed network transportation lines.Secondly,its specific uses are reflected in the political function of effective jurisdiction over Lingnan,as well as its commercial function as commodity exchange between the Central Plains and Lingnan,and as the extension of the Maritime Silk Road.Thirdly,it had lasted for more than two thousand years from the Qin Dynasty to the Republic of China,spanning the vast area between Hengyang,Hunan and Yingde,Guangdong,with prominent phenomena such as population migration,economic exchanges and cultural transmission.Therefore,Xiang Yue Ancient Road is a cultural route.
