An Interview on Current Issues Concerning Chinese Ballet

本文是一次关于近年中国芭蕾的舞台表演、编创和教学话题的访谈。美国辛辛那提大学终身教授蒋齐在接受访问中,通过对中外芭蕾的比较,结合其自身的实践经验分析了中国芭蕾在表演、创作和教学方面的成就与缺失,并从舞者的表演能力、编导的创新、教师的教学理念以及芭蕾教育的大众普及等方面指出存在的问题,探讨中国芭蕾的演员、编导和教师的素养提升以及舞团建设的完善问题,并为"中国芭蕾学派"的确立提出了建设性的意见。

This paper contains an interview concerning the stage performance,choreography,and teaching of ballet in China in recent years.In the interview,Jiang Qi,a tenured professor at the University of Cincinnati,analyzed the achievements and weaknesses of Chinese ballet in performance,creation,and teaching through a comparison between Chinese and foreign ballet,based on his own practical experience.He pointed out problems in a range of areas,such as performance skills,choreographic innovation,teaching methodology,and ballet popularization,and then discussed how ballet dancers,choreographers,teachers and even ballet troupes could improve.He also gave constructive suggestions on how to establish the Chinese School of Ballet.
