The Analysis of the Elderly Care Policy in Ancient Japan

日本古代在外来文化的作用下,建立了律令制中央集权制度。统治者为了加强统治,实施了一系列养老政策,有的基于佛教的慈悲和因果报应思想,有的与儒学的政治理念、家庭伦理道德孝道关联密切,有的是“儒佛融合”发挥作用的结果。这些构成了日本古代社会养老政策的思想基础,是当时外来文化适应日本社会现实做出的反应。

In ancient Japan,the system of laws and decrees as well as centralism was established under the influence of foreign cultures.In order to strengthen the rule,the dominators implemented a series of policies concerning Elderly Care,some of which were based on Buddhist belief of mercy and karma,some were closely related to Confucian political ideas and filial piety,and some were the results of the combination of Confucianism and Buddhism.These constituted the ideological basis of the Elderly Care Policy in ancient Japan,and they were the adaptation made by foreign cultures in reaction to the social reality of Japan.
