作为中国的日本思想史研究的一件大事,南开大学日本研究所刘岳兵教授主持编辑的《井上哲次郎儒学论著选集》(中国社会科学出版社2021年9月)既彰显出井上哲次郎在20世纪初开拓性地形成日本儒学史研究的“范式”性的价值,也为我们当下如何梳理、如何描述一种学术史带来了不少的深层思索。井上哲次郎的学术史研究既带有了整理历史研究的直接目的,也潜藏着一种黑格尔笔下的“历史意识”;井上哲次郎针对日本的学派与学说的整理方式既谋求以西方思想为参照的“系统框架”,也陷入了难以持续的困境之中;井上哲次郎的儒学史研究既成为超越过去学术研究的“方法”,但是同时也会给中国儒学研究带有一种“负面价值”。如何辩证地认识这样的问题,构筑起主体性的批判思维,将是接下来的日本思想史研究的一大问题。
