Zheng Banqiao’s Thoughts

郑燮力主"自树其帜",一再强调"自立门户"的创作精神,追求"道着民间痛痒"的现实主义风格,将词作为抒发内心情感的有别于诗的另一种独立的文学体裁。板桥景物词的构图美表现在其词中景物形象的布局之美,善留空白主要体现为留白于字里行间之外,这一表现方法给了读者以无限思考的广阔空间。从绘画艺术的角度考察板桥词,一个显著的特点是色彩丰富鲜明,娴熟地运用色彩词,注意构造图景的效果。写景咏物词的字里行间大多是借景、借咏物而抒怀;怀古词雄浑阔大,深刻凝重;艳情词细腻委婉,亲切动人。从审美角度来看,板桥词与其精湛的书画技艺不无关系。正是这样,使他的文学作品和书画艺术气质互相融合,形成了独特的风格。

Zheng Xie,also named Banqiao,advocates the creativity of writing and pursues realistic writing about "ordinary people’s tear and laughter". He regards "Ci"( a type of ancient Chinese poetry) a literary genre that aims at expressing people’s inner emotion and thoughts,and is independent from "Shi"( the other type of ancient Chinese poetry). Banqiao’s landscape Ci is beautifully composed not only in terms of its layout,but also its unwritten message which leaves the readers with unlimited space of imagination. If Banqiao’s works are viewed as painting art,a prominent feature is its colorfulness: skillfully utilizing vivid words of colors,focusing on the effect of managed structure of scenery. His landscape Ci is usually used to express his ambitions. Those that meditate on the past( love poetry) are magnificent and profound;those that are about love( love Ci) are exquisite and touching. From the aesthetic perspective,his poetry is closely related with his outstanding painting skills,and it is this merge of his two artistic skills( writing and painting) that formed his unique style.
