摘要 保罗·盖耶通过对美学史研究的概念梳理和自身艺术体验,探讨了个人的美学史观。盖耶首先列举了历史上对于"美学"的不同定义,然后试图确定何种对象可以在更为广阔的美学定义范围内被研究以及当代美学真正应讨论的问题。盖耶认为美学史首先应关注审美价值的来源,反对单一的来源归因。通过列举克莱夫·贝尔、科林伍德以及梅洛-庞蒂对塞尚画作的不同评价,盖耶结合自身艺术体验探讨了美学价值的多样来源,并强调各类价值来源的同等重要性。 Paul Guyer discusses his personal aesthetic history through the concept of aesthetic history research and his own artistic experience.Guyer first enumerates the different definitions of"Aesthetics"in history,and then tries to determine what objects can be studied within the broader definition of aesthetics and what issues should be discussed in contemporary aesthetics.Guyer believed that aesthetic history should first focus on the source of aesthetic value and oppose the single source attribution.By enumerating the different evaluations of Cézanne by Clive Bell,Collingwood and Merleau-Ponty,Guyer explores the diverse sources of aesthetic value in the light of his own artistic experience,and emphasizes the equal importance of each source of value.
