美国高校通识教育学习成果评估实践研究

Research on the Practice of General Education Learning Outcomes Assessment in American Universities

摘要 选取美国大学与学院协会(AAC&U)发布的调查报告、美国若干高校递交的学生学习成果评估报告、本科学生学习有效评估(VALUE)项目开发的评估标准以及其他相关资料,从评估内容和评估机制两方面对美国高校通识教育学生学习成果评估实践进行分析。分析结果显示:通识教育评估内容是整个大学教育中的重要组成部分,帮助学生检查或者在必要的时候帮助学生修复、提升相关学习成效非常重要。促进高阶成就水平的提高、完善课程作业的设置、促使有效评估工具的开发等特点,对我国的高等教育评估与质量保障具有重要的借鉴意义。 Based on the investigation reports published by the American Association of Colleges and Universities(AAC&U),the assessment reports of student learning achievement submitted by several universities in the United States,the evaluation criteria developed by college students learning effectiveness assessment(VALUE)program,and other relevant data,this paper analyzes the learning outcome assessment of general education students in American colleges and universities from assessment content and assessment mechanism.The analysis results show that general education assessment is an important part of the whole college education,and it is vital to help students to check or improve relevant learning results when necessary.Promoting the improvement of higher achievement level,perfecting the setting of coursework and promote the development of effective assessment tools are of great significance for the higher education assessment and quality assurance in China.
