朱生豪以翻译莎士比亚戏剧出名,他的译本堪称经典。朱生豪的人生历程不长,世界书局和中美日报社是他主要的职业平台,他的译莎活动贯穿其中。朱生豪的性格极度内敛,所交往的对象仅限于陆高谊、詹文浒等少数几位与他有学缘或地缘关系的新闻出版界人士。在与他们有限的交往过程中,朱生豪在职业认同上经历了由对图书编辑工作(编校型)的厌倦到认同图书编辑工作(创作型),再至将新闻编辑工作作为抗日宣传的方式,这离不开詹文浒的引导。

Zhu Shenghao is famous for translating Shakespeare’s plays,and his translations can be regarded as classics.Zhu Shenghao’s life was not long.The World Book Company and Sino-A merica Daily were his main professional platforms where he once translated the plays.His character was extremely introverted,and his contacts were limited to Lu Gaoyi,Zhan Wenhu and a few people who have academic or geographical relations with him.In the process of limited communication with them,Zhu Shenghao experienced from boredom of book editing work(editing type)to recognition of book editing work(creative type)in his professional identity,and then to using news editing work as a position of anti-Japanese propaganda,which could not be separated from the guidance of Zhan Wenhu.
