摘要
“淋沥”是医药文献中的一个常用词,其用法灵活,词义复杂,故一直以来众说纷纭,莫衷一是。本文对中古医籍中“淋沥”的词义进行考察,归纳出与淋证及消耗性疾病相关的两个义项。并根据“淋沥”的语义特征梳理其词义演变的轨迹:即基于“持续而不畅通”这一语义,自然状态中的水流滴落可引申出因淋证而产生的水流不畅,滴沥不绝;“持续而不畅通”义又可引申出“迟缓而绵延”义,进而可指消耗性疾病长久连绵,迁延难愈。此外,通过“淋沥”亦可系联出一些具有同源关系的异写词,如“连历”“廉沥”“淋露”“淋洛”等。
“Linli(淋沥)”is a common word in ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine.The usage of the word is flexible and its meaning doesn't have a reliable conclusion all through the ages.This article explores the meaning of Linli in the me-dieval medical books,and sums up two senses related to the gonorrhea and wasting diseases.Combing the track of semantic change according to the semantic characteris-tics of Linli:Based on the semantic of“continuous and unobstructed”,the meaning of“appearance of water dripping in the natural state”can be extended to the meaning of‘appearance of water flowing unobstructed and dripping incessantly due to gonorrhea”;The semantic of“continuous and unobstructed"extend to the semantic of“slow and continuous”,and then“Linli”can refer to the appearance of chronic disease.In addi-tion,some cognate words with homologous relationship can also be connected through“Linli",such as“Lianli(连历)(廉沥)”,“Linlu(淋露)”,“Linluo(淋洛)”,etc.
